Old Crow 4160 KV System Upgrade

Our crews performed various tasks helping upgrade ATCO Electric Yukon’s system in Old Crow, Yukon Territory. With access to the site being fly in only with limited resources, Castle Power performed a line diversion through town, replacement of multiple structures, installation of a pole mounted OCR and a Delta transformer bank.

Castle Power's crews also built a new three phase Delta line to feed the Old Crow dump and incinerator. This job consisted of installing new poles and anchors in permafrost conditions,  stringing new 1/0 ACSR conductor, and installing and hooking up multiple transformers and a delta-wye transformer bank.
